Grid Asset Manager from
MSA released

Today we released the new version of Grid Asset Manager V1.4 for our customer MSA Safety. The goal of the app development was to make it easier for safety inspectors to inspect fall protection equipment. Inspections are recorded directly on site using the mobile app, and the recorded data is stored in the MSA Cloud.
The last two major updates in October and January allow users to set their own inspection intervals and supplement the inspections performed with photos. This involves documenting images of any defects discovered in the inspected equipment. This serves to provide traceability as to why an inspection was not passed. In addition, images assist in the repair of the inspected equipment.
The focus of the current release V1.4 is on usability improvements. To identify these, regular feedback meetings are held with selected customers. During these meetings, we examine how customers use the app and actively seek feedback. This enables us to determine how we can further accelerate and improve processes for our customers. As a result of the customer discussions, assigning locations to users for inspected fall protection equipment has now become even easier and faster.
The next goals for the app are multilingualism, an Android version, and so-called “custom types.” This will give users the option of creating their own categories in addition to the predefined equipment categories such as harnesses and carrying straps.
You can download the app here. To use it, you need an account for the MSA Cloud.
